The "2019 Taipei Design Award" is open to soliciting entries from global designers from now to July 18, with a total prize money of up to NT$3.8 million, inviting players from all over the world to participate! This year, in addition to the continuation of the "Industrial Design", "Visual Communication Design", and "Public Space Design" three categories for submissions, and special awards "Social Design Award", "Applied Advanced Design Award", "Universal Design Award", Hope to reflect the spirit of communion and care for the society through the design concept. In particular, the "Taipei Mayor Award", which represents the highest honor of the competition, has added a bonus of NT$600,000 for the first time to select outstanding design works that have value and influence on urban development.
This year’s review continues the "convenor system", and heavyweight design experts are invited to serve in various categories, including "Industrial Design" Compal Computer Creative Center Chen Xiguan, senior deputy general manager, "Visual Communication Design" free fall design company Chen Junliang The chairman and chairman of the Taiwan Creative Design Center Zhang Jiyi, the "Public Space Design" consortium, gathered representatives from the design industry to select outstanding works through a professional evaluation system and a rigorous process to encourage and explore innovative and creative designs with potential.
Last year (2018) "Taipei Design Awards" not only obtained the certification of three major international design societies, but also attracted 4,896 outstanding works from 71 countries around the world. In addition to breaking previous records, the proportion of international works reached 73%.
