Extended reality (XR) includes representative forms such as virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR) and mixed reality (MR). This kind of immersive technology has driven many innovative applications and rapidly changed patterns in various industries. To accelerate the interaction between domestic and international XR industry, Taipei City Government co-organized the StartUP@Taipei XR Summit with TAVAR (Taiwan Association for Virtual and Augmented Reality). XR specialists from Netherlands and Japan are invited to share their experience.
Doede M. Holtkamp is Head of International Partnerships at VR Days Europe, the leading tech-conference exploring the possibilities within Virtual, Mixed and Augmented Reality (XR) in the European landscape. He will reveal the trends and thresholds of European XR ecosystem and give domestic XR industry more different views.
Takehisa Ito is the co-founder of HoloLab, a technology startup focused on Mixed Reality, HoloLens, and other Virtuality-Reality continuum related technology and experience. In 2017, HoloLab is certified as Microsoft Mixed Reality Partner.
Faust Chou from CJS Management & Consultants is also going to deliver a speech about challenges and opportunities for Taiwan’s XR industry to enter global market and help advance international cooperation.
