Introduction
In order to promote the transformation and upgrading of small and medium-sized enterprises, the Ministry of Economic Affairs has set up a special fund to encourage academic institutions to set up innovation and cultivation centers. Its purpose is to build a better SME entrepreneurial environment based on the school's existing research and development technology, experimental equipment, space resources, and experience in building and teaching cooperation.
The university is the first technical vocational education institution in the country. In order to cooperate with the SMEs Department to foster the policy of SMEs led by technological innovation, the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology Innovation Incubation Center was established on August 1, 1998 to respond to government promotion.
